The Vanity Unit

(Screenplay) Reading

A group of residents at a retirement village are given one last chance to host a dinner party. The evening turns to chaos when human excrement is discovered in the vanity unit. People’s prejudices and assumptions allow long held grievances to surface and the proverbial poo really hits the fan. A ‘poodunnit?’ that reminds everyone of what is really important in life.

Award-winning Tasmanian writing team Franz Docherty and Belinda Bradley, along with director Clayton Jacobson (Kenny) have created the feature film script over eight months as part of Screen Australia and Screen Tasmania’s Pitch, Plot and Produce initiative.

Be among the first to hear this screamingly funny Tasmanian story, support local screen practitioners and help see this project through to production.
