KERRY SARTEN

CHAIR

Kerry Sarten brings deep governance experience and a career spanning law, finance, tourism, and civil construction, alongside active roles in not-for-profit and social enterprises. Most recently, Kerry was a well-respected corporate and commercial lawyer, and a Director at Groom Kennedy.

After extensive overseas travel, Kerry returned to Australia and made an early sea change to northern Tasmania in the early 1990s, choosing to make the island her home, and later moving south to Hobart. Now based in the south of the State, Kerry remains passionate about Tasmania’s unique beauty, and its friendly community.

Qualifications: MBA (UTAS), Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours (UTAS), Master of Taxation (USYD), GAICD. Kerry is an experienced director of private and not-for-profit organisations, and currently serves on the board of Hobart Women’s Shelter.
